while we were in new york we had a night out with the lovely ladies from the regional assembly of text, and ended up making the trek up to bemelmans bar at the carlyle hotel. well worth it to see the beautiful murals by the illustrator ludwig bemelmans (of madeline fame). it's pretty magical, manhattans and french 75s not withstanding.
