authenticity

That’s sort of the goal in life, to be authentic; to be an authentic, real person and to somehow integrate your internal world and the world around you has to be one of the most difficult things to be a human being. If I’m talking to my boys, that would be the first conversation. This is the difficulty in growing up; how do you maintain some authenticity of your person? You build your own history; you live in your brain and you invent who you are, and matching that with the world, especially this world today is a tough one. (14:29)
